Our client, an excellent General Construction/Construction Management company, is actively seeking to add an experienced superintendent to the organization. Project work involves large scale ground-up, renovation, and/or additions; (commercial, healthcare, hospitality, higher education, schools, institutional, academia, and corporate office buildings). Multi-million-dollar project experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision and participation ensuring work meets contract specifications
• The accurate take-off of quantities and the determination of material requirements from project plans and specifications
• Evaluate and set project safety, production, quality goals
• Responsible for making decisions related to scheduling, deliveries, coordination, quality control
• Manage subs to ensure smooth project operations and ability to properly resolve conflicts/issues in a professional manner
• Manage the overall site safety
• Create schedules and sequencing of work to keep project on schedule.
• Coordinate and execute daily and weekly plans
• Understand and monitor jobsite budgets
• Perform jobsite quality control checks
• Ensure efficiency and quality assurance
• Assess jobsite productivity, quality, safety, and scheduling of labor and equipment
• Review equipment and labor to maximize project efficiency
• Ensure project progress meets client expectations
• Maintain construction schedule and adjust as necessary to ensure deadlines are met
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Requirements

• Approximately five (5) or more years experience as a superintendent focused on relevant commercial construction projects
• Experience running multi-million-dollar projects (Approximately $5-25+ million dollars in value)
• Computer proficient with Microsoft programs as well as experience with relevant industry specific software
• Excellent communication and organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
