Traveling Construction Superintendent
Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Traveling Construction Superintendent to join our construction team. This role involves traveling to various construction sites to oversee and manage punch list items, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage punch list items on various construction sites.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Supervise large retail remodels and renovations.
  • Coordinate with general contractors and ensure quality control.
  • Review and manage construction documents and shop drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 30 standards.
  • Implement and oversee construction safety measures.
Essential Skills
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes.
  • Experience in subcontractor management and general contracting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft-based applications.
  • Ability to travel with construction projects.
  • Experience in construction supervision and project management.
  • Knowledge of construction safety and quality control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with large retail remodels and renovations.
  • Knowledge of site construction and box store projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
Work Environment

This position involves traveling to various construction sites throughout the Midwest. You will be required to be on site Monday through Friday, as remote work is not an option. Typically, no work is completed on weekends, allowing teams to return home if they choose. Traveling superintendents will be provided with lodging and receive a daily allowance for expenses, along with mileage reimbursement from the job site to home.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
