We are a small rapidly growing custom cabinet company (www.snakecrafted.com, @snake.craft) that is seeking cabinet makers / carpenters to join our team. We primarily focus on high end residential cabinetry and custom millwork, which we usually install ourselves. Hours are typically 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. In shop work consists of fabricating and assembling cabinets, installing hardware, and more. Although this position is mostly based in shop, because we provide our own install the position would also require occasional days on-site when we need an extra hand with install. On-site work includes installing cabinets (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) and other general finish carpentry like installing baseboard, trim and specialty door hardware, scribing end panels, adjusting drawer fronts and doors, stair work, paneling etc. Our jobs are usually in the SF and Marin areas, being able to commute to those areas is a must when needed. We are looking for someone to work either 4 or 5 days a week.
We're hoping to find someone who enjoys carpentry and building, has a great eye for detail, appreciates design & architecture, has a positive attitude, can work well in small teams but can work independently as well. Beyond that, the ideal candidate has the following:
-5+ years in shop experience and/or cabinet making experience at a journeyman level
-proficiency with table saw, chop saw, edge bander, and all other standard woodworking tools
-ability to read shop drawings and follow cut lists
-owns all basic hand tools
-has reliable transportation to get to job sites
-has on-site install experience
If interested, please respond with a resume (preferred) or detailed background of relevant experience and job history.
