About the Role:Are you a driven professional with a passion for making a difference in the world? We're looking for someone like you to join our team as a Traffic Design Engineer. In this role, you'll work in an integrated environment alongside other disciplines to develop and deliver comprehensive services and products to our clients. What You'll Do:

  • Lead traffic design initiatives, including traffic signal design, intersection design, ADA ramps, signing and pavement marking, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
  • Utilize industry-standard traffic engineering design and analysis tools and standards to develop innovative solutions.
  • Develop design concepts, conduct analysis and screening, and prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E package).
  • Analyze and design construction phasing and traffic control strategies to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs.
  • Engage in client outreach and participate in preparing proposals to support business growth.
  • Contribute to report writing and documentation processes to communicate project findings and recommendations effectively.

What You'll Bring:

  • A bachelor's or higher degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Colorado PE license and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in traffic engineering. Candidates with a PE license from another state must be able to attain a Colorado PE license within 6 months of hire.
  • Evidence of experience on multimodal transportation and/or sustainable/complete street projects.
  • Commitment to obtaining a PTOE certification (Professional Traffic Operations Engineer) or possession of one.
  • Established network of local traffic engineers and clients.
  • Experience and passion for multimodal transportation planning and design.
  • Knowledge and experience with alternative/innovative intersection and interchange design concepts.
  • Proficiency in traffic signal design and timing, as well as the development and analysis of alternative design concepts and lane configurations.
  • Experience in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates, as well as designing work zone traffic control and construction phasing.
