Performs technical field work in the inspection and coordination of contract construction projects for the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBC WUD). Inspects County capital and developer projects (water, wastewater and reclaimed water utility construction; treatment plant and pump station construction) for adherence to contracts, plans and specifications to ensure compliance with County and state regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of five (5) years of project supervision experience in the operation, maintenance or construction of pump stations, reclaimed water systems, water and wastewater treatment plants and/or pipelines.
PREFERENCE FOR: Experience conducting on-site inspections; Associate's Degree/completion of a vocational training program in Engineering Science/related; valid FL Water Distribution System License and/or Wastewater Collection System Certification/WUD-recognized equivalent; Backflow Prevention course/Cross Connection Control training; National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Certification in Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) inspection.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.
