Production Laborer

Production Laborer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Production Laborer to join our team in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. You will be responsible for handling concrete blocks, ensuring product quality, and maintaining equipment in our production facilities. Responsibilities Hand stack concrete blocks weighing between 20-70lbs. Grind concrete blocks for a polished finish and smooth texture. Feed blocks onto a conveyor for tumbling and manually offload them onto pallets. Quality inspect concrete blocks for chips or cracks. Discard defective products into a scrap bin and assist in palletizing and wrapping products. Perform lockout and tag-out procedures under supervision. Assist with changing molds and colors, and maintain cleanliness by sweeping and shoveling gravel. Fill and palletize bags with dirt and sand, maintaining a self-determined pace. Ensure high performance by meeting daily production quotas. Assist with general machine and shop maintenance. Essential Skills General production experience, particularly in stacking and loading. Understanding of manufacturing processes and production quotas. Mechanical aptitude and maintenance skills. Familiarity with safety procedures including lockout/tag-out. Experience in concrete, construction, and maintenance work. Additional Skills & Qualifications manufacturing or physical labor. Mechanical aptitude is a plus for potential advancement to operator roles. Reliability and ability to perform repetitive and physical tasks for extended periods. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment includes a small shop with 4-5 employees. Conditions can vary, being cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The setting is a pre-mix concrete plant, so it can get messy and dusty. Initial roles do not include forklift or machine operation, but training will be provided upon conversion to expand job duties. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
