AIRPORT FACILITIES TECHNICIAN - HVAC (updated job description)
Aviation & Transportation Department
$1,500 sign on bonus available to an external candidate.
The Portland International Jetport is seeking a highly motivated individual for the Engineering and Facilities Department. Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, this position involves technical work in the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and equipment throughout the terminal and parking garage.
Required Skills and Experience:
Must possess a valid State of Maine Natural Gas & Propane license as well as either the EPA 608 or Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) universal refrigeration certificate.
Considerable knowledge of best practices, materials, tools and equipment of the HVAC trade.
Skill in locating and correcting defects in many different types of mechanical systems.
Ability to pass all required background investigations and maintain a valid Class C Maine Driver's License.
Prior HVAC experience in a large facility. Substantial knowledge of operating and wiring for building controls systems.

This is a union position, Labor & Trades, Grade 19MA with a pay range starting at $30.62/hour. Full-Time, 40 hour schedule, Monday-Friday, 7am - 3:30pm.
