CNC Machine Operator

Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate a Steel Cutter, as well as manage the operation of forklifts and overhead cranes to handle materials. This role requires reading and working from a cut list, alongside other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Responsibilities Set up and operate Steel Cutter. Operate forklift to unload materials from trucks. Operate overhead crane for material handling. Read and work from a cut list. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Essential Skills Blueprint reading Machining Micrometer usage Experience with tubing Metal cutting Proficiency with measuring tools Overhead crane operation Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ year of experience operating a steel cutter. Experience operating an overhead crane. Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to identify various materials such as angle, channel, beams, and tubing. Work Environment The position is based in a production shop environment that is spacious and clean, though not climate-controlled, with temperatures varying based on the weather. Steel-toed boots are required for safety. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Grange, Kentucky. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
