You will serve as the assigned ship owner's representive and authoritive consultant providing oversight, direction and advisory in the full range of major maintenance/modernizion planning and execution. The adequacy of such background must be demonstred by one of the following: Professional registrion or licensure -- Current registrion as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT)1, or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any Ste, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Comparable Navy operional and maintenance/repair experience is acceptable, normally from Limited Duty Engineering Officers. Such duties bring exposure to modere risks, discomforts and unpleasantness such as climbing of vertical ladders, entrance into confined spaces, exposure to high temperures, high winds and high noise level areas.
