TIG Welder - Stainless Steel & Sanitary Welding Location: Amherst, NY Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Join a high-end fabrication shop specializing in international food-grade, pharmaceutical, and machine-building projects. We're seeking an experienced TIG Welder with a focus on stainless steel and sanitary welding. This is a six-month contract role with strong potential for permanent hire. Key Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on stainless steel for sanitary, food-grade, and pharmaceutical applications. Pass a 3/8" stainless steel weld test (corner and butt joints). Fabricate large vessels and equipment for high-spec industries. Collaborate with team members to build, assemble, and polish stainless steel systems. Ensure precision and quality in all welding and fabrication tasks. Essential Skills & Experience 5+ years of TIG and MIG welding experience. Proficiency in sanitary welding techniques. Ability to pass weld tests on 3/8" stainless steel joints. Experience working with ASME pressure vessels. Additional Qualifications Fabrication experience. Familiarity with flux core welding.
