Millwright Job Description This role involves working with a growing company specializing in agricultural construction, de-construction, and rigging. The position requires dismantling grain equipment inside processing plants, building or dismantling grain elevators and conveyors, and installing custom fabricated equipment. The service team focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment at various client sites. Responsibilities Assemble or erect steel for equipment as required. Interpret shop drawings accurately. Perform non-critical welding tasks. Establish center lines and elevations for equipment or machinery. Conduct complex rigging operations. Perform precision installation of equipment, machinery, or components, including anchoring, leveling, and aligning. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude Millwright experience Mechanical and construction skills Proficiency with power tools and hand tools Stick welding experience Ability to interpret blueprints Troubleshooting skills Repair and fabrication skills Hydraulics and piping knowledge Additional Skills & Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in stick welding 1 year of experience using power and hand tools 6 months of job site welding or fabrication experience Comfortable working from heights Ability to work in small spaces and awkward body positions Why Work Here? Work Environment Work is conducted in agricultural processing plants, ethanol plants, or grain elevators. The team usually consists of 4-5 people on-site, led by a foreman or superintendent. Hours are typically 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with varying shifts depending on project needs. Employees are on call once a month, compensated for four hours each day if not called in. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
