SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for our Power Delivery Services Group. It is crucial to have experience and the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, enthusiastic, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. As a superintendent, you will be responsible for providing coordination, planning, and supervision to assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities in a particular area of discipline.
100% Travel on a Rotation
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate work projects within the electrical scope of the building site
Ensure the high-quality installation of electrical portions of the project, including underground cabling, overhead lines, and substation construction
Provide drawing, constructability, submittal reviews, and feedback with the engineering team, verifying that the quality of materials, equipment, and workmanship conforms to the specifications and updates of the contract documents
Partner with the Sr. Superintendent in formwork selection, equipment sizing, and site utilization plan
Work with Sr. Superintendent in the development of project schedules and updates, and the creation of 3 3-week look-ahead
Supervise and ensure quality control of the work team, including self-performed and subcontracted work
Manage the interface with appropriate personnel concerned with the connection of the project power grid to the existing distribution system
Supervise the installation, splicing, and termination of fiber optic cables
Attend and participate in project meetings, and provide liaison between field engineers and contractors or craft workers to ensure electrical components of the project comply with drawings and specifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 12 years experience working with high and medium voltage equipment and cable, installation of transmission/'collection lines, and substation construction.
Minimum 13 years of supervisory experience
Proficiency in the installation, testing, acceptance, maintenance, and repair of high and medium-voltage cables
Knowledgeable about current injection, Hi-pot, capacitance discharge, contact resistance, Megger, TTR, Doble, and other methods of cable and equipment testing
Possess working knowledge of electrical drawings, sketches, and prints, underground duct banks, trenching, manholes and vaults for distribution and collection systems, underground and pad mount transformer usage, SCADA systems used in the power industry, transmission line construction, testing and commissioning, and substation construction, testing and commissioning
Working knowledge of the latest NESC, NEC, IEEE, NEMA, and OSHA codes and standards and industry safety requirements and methods
Current driver's license
Ability to travel 100%

The base pay range for this role is $122,600 - $183,900. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
