Construction Estimator

A respected and growing commercial general contractor based in Ormond Beach, FL is seeking a Construction Estimator to join their dynamic team. This firm has been serving the Central and North Florida markets for over 40 years, specializing in commercial, civil, and marine projects. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Construction Estimator position include: 5-10 years of experience in an estimating role with a small to mid-sized commercial general contractor or construction manager. Experience with projects in Central and North Florida, including office, civil, and marine work, ranging from $5M to $25M in value. Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam required; experience with other tools like OST, ProEst, WinEst, Sage preferred). Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with historical cost databases is a plus. Ability to lead estimating processes, perform full takeoffs, develop GMP and lump sum estimates, and manage multiple bids. Coordinate with subcontractors, manage bid coverage, and conduct bid leveling and value engineering. Support internal teams with buyout, negotiations, and scope reviews; attend pre-bid meetings and occasional site walk-throughs. Mentor junior staff and contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of estimating procedures. Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
