Position Overview The Project Estimator reports to the CFO. The Project Estimator supports the drafting of production, installation, and design estimates for potential projects. They are responsible for processing incoming requests, procuring pricing from vendors and suppliers, and supporting the overall efforts of the estimating team. As a Project Estimator, your responsibilities will include: Responsibilities: Review incoming RFPs and generate RFIs Assisting with bids for new contracts Reviewing design documents for proper information to receive accurate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, and generates acceptable value engineering ideas Understanding how to create proper bid packages and working with the design team on the information required in each package to assure complete bids Processing project and proposal records, monitoring accuracy Estimating production and installation costs by using standard rates and by studying previous project final cost records through cost analysis Assisting with maintaining the estimating cost database to ensure costs are up to date Estimating production and installation costs by soliciting external vendors and working with internal production managers to quantify time and material estimates Preparing and submitting proposals for projects Working with Sales/Business Development, Finance, Project Management and Production Planning teams to review bids for sign-off prior to submittal Leading the handoff process at bid award to the Project Management and Pre-Production teams Working on special projects for departments and organization-wide importance as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with a minimum experience of 2 years Previous estimating or pricing experience - (construction cost estimation Must) Experience with project management tools, preferably Asana/NetSuite Ability to work and think independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines Ability to interact well with a wide range of people and personalities of all levels within and outside . Strong attention to detail, exceedingly well-organized, and technologically savvy
