General Summary:
Oversees and performs installation, maintenance, and repairs of all residential and industrial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and their associated equipment which includes pneumatic and Building Automation Controls (DDC). Must have a strong understanding of systems layout. Troubleshoots, repairs, and overhauls equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, pumps, air handlers, pneumatic valves, electric valves, heat transfer equipment, other environmental changing devices, other mechanical equipment or electrical, pneumatic and electronic components.
Department team members are authorized to have limited access to secured medication rooms to perform duties and responsibilities as defined in this job description. Any staff member requiring limited access to secured medication rooms must have a fully completed and signed Medication Security Agreement for Non-Licensed Personnel form on file and available upon request.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates, oversees installs, and replaces control systems, industrial/residential air handlers, refrigeration equipment, and heating equipment according to prints, specifications, diagrams or other instructions
2. Aids in the review of work orders, prioritizes and assigns work to be accomplished, updates work status and helps to maximize the performance of assigned staff.
3. Tests functioning/malfunctioning systems and components using electrical, mechanical, digital and pneumatic controls for system optimization.
4. Performs planned maintenance and repairs to refrigeration and air handling equipment of all types, sizes and temperature ranges. Ensures critical spare parts inventories are maintained.
5. Maintains records of repairs or equipment requiring future service. Maintain accurate records of refrigerant usage as required by local, state, and federal agencies.
6. Coordinate projects with the use of staff or outside vendors.
7. Coordinate and maintain PM system with staff and outside vendors.
8. Maintain safe exterior walking surfaces by assisting with snow removal.
9. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities to include snow/ice removal.
