Geotechnical Project Manager - 2025-8514
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kleinfelder is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
This role will be based in our Philadelphia, PA (Exton) office.
This position is hybrid, 3 days in-office and 2 days WFH.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role where they can execute project work, partner with senior geotechnical engineers, provide mentorship to junior staff, and engage with clients. On the job you would be expected to:
* Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects;
* Manage geotechnical projects from planning through execution, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and exceeding client expectations;
* Oversee scheduling, cost management, and resource allocation;
* Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation;
* Complete engineering analysis including: soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity, immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis, geohazard evaluation, ground improvement, and earth retention systems;
* Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development;
* Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports;
* Prepare construction specifications and drawings;
* Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects;
* Positively interact with client representatives; and
* Development of scope of work, project budgets, work breakdown structures, and schedules.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or geology.
* 8 to 10 years of geotechnical/geological engineering experience.
* Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
* Ability to work independently and with a team
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Working knowledge of: MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
* Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, Uni-pile, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, and FAD preferred.
* Clean driving record and the ability to submit a drug test required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
* Master's degree
* PE and/or PG
* Candidate within commuting distance of either any of these locations: Exton, PA; Cranberry, PA; or Bridgeport, WV.
