Facilities Cost Estimator KIHOMAC - 3.3 Colorado Springs, CO Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $90,000 a year 13 hours ago Benefits AD&D insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Secret Clearance Microsoft Office Finance 8 years Project management Bachelor's degree Senior level Construction Management Construction estimating Full Job Description Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for facility renovation, sustainment, and modernization projects Present estimates to managers, clients, or other interested parties Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates Prepare reports or bids that detail the cost breakdown Estimate the cost of equipment or materials to be bought or leased Adjust estimates based on changing market conditions, price fluctuations, and other economic factors Keep track of the latest industry trends and pricing to ensure accurate and competitive pricing Utilize software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting, and project management Verify subcontractor quote submissions Read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and specifications Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training: Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering, finance, or construction management required Professional certification in cost estimation or project management preferred Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in the required task area Proficiency in RSMeans (or similar) and MS Office required Security: Must be a US citizen Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance Physical Requirements: Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.) Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Short Term & Long Term Disability Training & Development Wellness Resources Salary: $70,000 - 90,000 Salary rates for this position are competitive and commensurate with experience and industry standards.
