Civil Superintendent

A well-established civil construction firm is seeking a skilled and dedicated Civil Site Superintendent to oversee site development projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing civil site work, including the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, water reservoirs, and underground utility systems. The Superintendent will be responsible for all on-site operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands strong leadership, a detail-oriented mindset, and an in-depth understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise daily field operations on civil construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements. Manage project schedules and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Conduct routine inspections to verify work conforms to plans, specifications, and contract documents. Monitor budgets throughout the project, including involvement in cost estimating and financial tracking. Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and progress records. Proactively address and resolve site-related challenges to maintain workflow and productivity. Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil site construction supervision, with a record of managing complex infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety regulations, and quality control procedures specific to civil site work. Experience working with contracts and understanding project obligations. Familiarity with construction estimating methods and budget control is preferred. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Effective leadership with the ability to motivate teams and maintain a collaborative site environment. OSHA 30 certification preferred. Valid driver's license Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
