Job Description:
KPA Engineers is seeking a highly motivated person to function as a
Senior Project Engineer / Managerin water and wastewater treatment design. In this position, you will work collaboratively with various design engineering execution teams, functioning in an upper-level engineer/manager capacity. You will perform all aspects of design engineering tasks for water and wastewater treatment design including delegating and managing subordinates and subconsultants.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a motivated individual with an appetite to develop the technical expertise to lead complex projects. Individual duties include, but are not limited to:
- Independently applies extensive and diverse knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields, keeping informed of updates to standards, regulations, and best practices.

- Manage and mentor design team (e.g., EITs, entry level PEs, CAD Technicians) during the design, permitting, bidding, and construction phases, while planning, executing, and managing scopes, schedules, and budgets to meet project stakeholder needs.

- Develops and reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.

- Manage and oversee the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater analysis, transmission mains, pump stations, water storage tanks, water distribution and wastewater collection systems, and water and wastewater treatment facilities.

- Coordinate permitting efforts and CCN (Certificate of Convenience and Necessity) modifications through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

- Oversee construction phase tasks, including conducting site visits, reviewing submittals, and facilitating construction progress meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.

- Minimum of 10 years related work experience.

- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing detailed project drawings and technical specifications.
