Nexeo HR is seeking a hands-on, dependable Painter/Laborer to join a high-performing steel fabrication shop near Cedar City. This position plays a key role in prepping, priming, and painting steel componentswhile also supporting fabrication and shop operations including cutting, loading, organizing, and general material handling.

Responsibilities

Prepare steel surfaces using grinders, brushes, and other prep tools

Apply primer paint to steel parts and log job progress digitally

Operate saws, cranes, pallet jacks, and hand tools safely and efficiently

Accurately measure and verify materials (within 1/16")

Support welders and shop technicians with daily operations

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Use a tablet to access job instructions and update project data

Perform general labor and shop support tasks as needed

Qualifications

Basic mechanical skills and the ability to read a tape measure

Experience using grinders, paint guns, drills, and saws

Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus

Physically able to lift and move heavy steel materials

Reliable, team-oriented, and open to learning new skills

Pay

$15.00 - $18.00 Per Hour

Schedule

Day Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:00AM - 5:30PM
