Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC boring mills and similar machinery with minimal supervision, producing high-quality parts.
  • Perform full machine setup, operation, and inspection, ensuring adherence to tight tolerances and efficient production
  • Interpret technical documents, including blueprints, manuals, and specifications to determine machining requirements
  • Mark materials with reference points and dimensions for accurate machining
  • Identify and correct machine malfunctions or deviations, making adjustments as needed; report major issues to supervisor
  • Support resolution of complex operational issues and participate in cost-reduction initiatives
  • Use forklifts and lifting devices to move parts safely
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other personnel to address production and quality concerns
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work area; perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Enforce and follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:
  • Must have a stable work history.
  • Must have a high school diploma OR GED
  • 3-5 years of experience operating CNC horizontal boring mills (HBMs) in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Fanuc controls.
  • Experience with FUNC controls.
  • Ability to perform complete machine setups independently
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T
  • Solid math skills, including geometry and algebra, for fabrication calculations
  • Experience with the use of machining measuring tools.
  • Ability to perform complete machine setups independently.

  • Solid math skills, including geometry and algebra, for fabrication calculations.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers (ID/OD), depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
  • Familiar with various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and machine inserts.

Salary: $51,667.00
