We are currently seeking a Survey Manager/Project Surveyor for our Portland, Oregon office.
Responsibilities
Manage the survey group and associated work to meet project goals.
Prepare cost estimates and contract proposals for survey related work.
Prepare required maps to facilitate successful outcomes for clients. These will include, but are not limited to, boundary surveys, partitions and subdivisions, topographic maps, miscellaneous exhibits, mortgage surveys, and NSPS/ALTA Surveys.
Prepare professional level documents which require licensure in the State of Oregon.
Oversee scheduling and budgets to ensure deadlines are met cost effectively.
Procure additional survey staff and survey equipment as needed.
The candidate will also be responsible for overseeing survey staff, budgets and quality control. The Survey Manager will be the prime point of contact for clients, jurisdictional staff, and other Project Managers within PDG.
Experience & Qualifications Required
Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in Oregon for 5 plus years.
Thorough understanding of boundary resolution and demonstrated experience successfully filing boundary surveys for the purpose of establishing subdivision boundaries.
Thorough understanding of Oregon platting statutes and demonstrated experience successfully preparing and filing subdivision plats
Thorough understanding of jurisdictional processes and standards for boundary surveys, partitions, and subdivisions.
Thorough understanding of survey staking standards and principles.
Expertise preparing topographic mapping.
Strong client relationship management skills.
Successful experience judiciously supervising junior staff.
Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency using Civil 3D to create topographic maps and surfaces.
Proficiency using Civil 3D to create boundary surveys and subdivision plats.
Thorough understanding of easements, property descriptions, and engineering plans.
