MILLWRIGHT PUMP MECHANIC
This position involves troubleshooting, disassembling, reassembling, installing, and maintaining pumps and related mechanical equipment, such as rotating equipment, cooling towers, hot water pumps, and blowers.
Work Environment: Mainly shop-based work, including tasks such as disassembly, inspection, repairs, and testing.
Core Duties:
- Installation: Install and align pumps and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform post-installation testing to ensure proper functionality. Troubleshoot issues like cavitation, seal failures, overheating, and vibration.
- Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, lubrication, and alignment of pumps to maintain efficiency and prevent wear.
Skills & Expertise:
- Pump Knowledge: Expertise in various pump types, including centrifugal, diaphragm, gear, and piston pumps.
Mechanical Systems: Knowledge of hydraulic systems, rotating equipment, and mechanical components such as bearings, seals, and shafts.
- OEM Knowledge: Familiarity with OEM procedures, specifications, and best practices for pump repair and maintenance.
Precision Tools: Skilled in using tools like micrometers, dial indicators, and torque wrenches for precise assembly and alignment.
Pay Rate: $35 - $40 per hour
