Note: The hourly rate for this position is $30 - $40 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

  • Assembling, installing, and connecting pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, drainage, and gas systems
  • Fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, repairing or replacing faulty fixtures like faucets, toilets, and water heaters, and clearing clogged drains
  • Performing preventative maintenance on plumbing systems, such as inspecting and testing for leaks, ensuring proper function of fixtures, and maintaining backflow prevention devices
  • Diagnosing plumbing issues, identifying the cause of problems, and determining the best course of action for repairs
  • Communicating with clients, explaining issues, providing solutions, and maintaining positive customer relationships
  • Following all safety regulations and building codes related to plumbing work
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
  • Installing and repairing various types of pipes (copper, PVC, PEX, etc.).
  • Working with different plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, faucets, water heaters, etc.).
  • Utilizing tools like pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, and sewer tapes.
  • Reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Responding to emergency calls.
  • Potentially working with heating and ventilation systems.

Qualifications:

  • E-Verify: Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on commercial and/or residential construction sites required.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes and laws in your area.
  • Perform tests and use the results to diagnose problems.
  • Have all of the tools of your trade on hand and be able to bring them to your job site.
  • California Journey Level License is a plus.
