Cabinet Refacing Startup - Seeking Contractors, Carpenters, Designers

Two experienced contractors are considering growing / scaling a cabinet refacing company that would initially be doing installs in Monterey County and possibly Santa Cruz County. One of the contractors is strong on the marketing, sales and business development side of the work, but not hands on. The other has the same background plus he can do the hands-on work and teach it.

We are just in the initial phase of business startup dialogue but we do have a vendor for doors and laminates, we currently have two installers that can do work, and we have done jobs with success.

The jobs are "typically" 4 to 7 working days for an installer working by themselves and a little less if they work with one helper. We do not expect to have multiple people or crews on a job at this time.

== Licensed Contractors seeking Bread and Butter Work ==
We are looking for licensed contractors with personal hand skills who could do the work themselves who would be interested in 1 to 2 jobs a month. We can schedule jobs to start on a Monday's or to start on a day that works around your other work -- with ample notice to fit into your schedule. You personally would need to do the work with or without a helper. You would not be able to drop help off and go to other work. You could have people on other work and do this work yourself as long as you could commit to it full time while in process. This would seem to be ideal for someone who is taking on small jobs, someone seeking a working retirement or someone who has the ability to pull off larger jobs for 1 week a month for bread and butter work. If we were to get busy we may be able to provide an opportunity for 3+ jobs a month, or some punch out work as it fills in, but for now we need to find people who feel they could take on one or two jobs a month.

== Non Licensed Contractors / Detail oriented Tradesman ==
Do you have experience with Cabinet making, other detailed carpentry work, or other artisan/trade work that required an eye for detail, possibly in tile, welding, hardwood floor installation, granite top work, window and glass work, etc. ? If you have been around precision cutting and drilling in material other than wood, you can likely handle this too with some coaching.

Could you be available for work allocated approximately 1 week at a time for 1 to 2 weeks a month ? (ie you have other work you can do to round out your time and needs)

After a sale is made, we will, in most cases, want / need detailed as-is and as-modified drawings in 2-D cad with front , side and/or top views and detailed dimensions for sign offs prior to order. If you use 3-d Modeling and can get dimensioned drawings from that that can work too. This would be project based work. We would likely have you contact the consumer, do the measurement and then either you all or us would present the drawings for sign off.
