Set Up Mechanic - Weekly Pay!!**
**Job Description**
I am seeking a skilled Set Up Mechanic who can hit the ground running. This role operates on a day shift from 4:50 am to 5 pm, following a 2-2-3 schedule. The ideal candidate will test, analyze, and adjust electro-mechanical devices such as timers, mechanical/solid state relays, solenoid valves, and electrically activated regulators. Familiarity with major components like power units, processor operation, and simple programming is necessary. This role requires making repairs and troubleshooting components using meters, electrical schematics, blueprints, and other specifications. Additionally, the candidate will operate, set up, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on contact heat and preheat thermoforming machines, as well as support equipment such as case tapers and stackers.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
+ Operate and maintain thermoforming, extrusion machinery, or packaging equipment.
+ Use hand tools and power tools to work on thermoform machines and fabricate machine parts.
+ Assemble and install electrical components and hardware.
+ Test assembled equipment for circuit continuity and operational reliability.
+ Analyze test results and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
+ Record test results and document fabrication techniques.
+ Calibrate instruments according to specifications.
+ Assist in training Setup Mechanics/Technicians.
+ Understand and troubleshoot low and high voltage electrical circuits, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
+ Perform and document preventive maintenance on production and support equipment.
+ Work with production automation equipment like robots, palletizers, and high-speed jet printers.
+ Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
**Essential Skills**
+ Previous experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
+ Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems.
+ Fluent use of hand tools and electrical meters.
+ Ability to assemble and install electrical components and hardware.
+ Experience in testing and analyzing equipment for reliability.
+ Proficient in documenting test results and techniques.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and repair low and high voltage circuits, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED; three years of related experience or training.
+ Technical work experience, technical school, or previous technician experience.
+ Ability to communicate effectively and understand instructions.
+ Proficiency in mathematical calculations, SPC in production is helpful.
+ Ability to apply logic in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
+ Experience with multimeters, power tools, drill press, table saw, and welder.
+ Forklift driving experience is helpful.
