Fabricator**
**Job Description**
As a Fabricator, you will assemble the metal framework of windows for commercial buildings across many industries. Fabricators are also involved with composite panel assembly.
**Responsibilities**
Handle aluminum extrusions to include fabrication and assembly.
Develop layout and plans sequence of operations.
Perform layout and prepares to frame.
Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, radial arm saws, drill presses, miter saws, and milling machines.
Saw, hammer and grind workpiece to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
Drill holes and fastens material together with screws.
Assemble fabricated frames according to the architectural drawing; positions align, fits, and affix together parts using appropriate fasteners.
Perform quality control check during assembly; ensuring product matches architectural specifications.
Assemble framing.
Continuously works in a manner to ensure the safety of self and others.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform additional duties as required.
**Essential Skills**
Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques related to the preparation of commercial glass
Ability to safely operate basic power tools
Ability to work with several different templates and jigs
Experience using measuring tools with the ability to take accurate measurements
Ability to lift and handle heavy, sharp glass and handle commonly used tools up to 125lbs
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while taking initiative and setting priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $25.00/hr.
