CAD Tech

Nesco Resource is seeking a qualified Part-time CAD Technician on 1st shift. Monday-Friday 1pm-6pm with the potential of going full-time.

Job Summary:
A detail-oriented and skilled CAD Designer / Drafter with experience in AutoCAD to support our design and engineering team. The ideal candidate will create and modify detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or project managers. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software based on project requirements.
• Update and revise existing drawings to reflect design changes.
• Interpret sketches, notes, and specifications to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized records of drawings and project files.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry and company standards.
• Assist with material take-offs, layouts, and project documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D a plus).
• Previous experience in a drafting, CAD design, or similar role (typically 1-3 years preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of computer programs, such as Microsoft Office (email, excel & word)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit, Inventor).
• Knowledge of industry-specific standards (e.g., architectural, mechanical, electrical).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
