Civil Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer specializing in land development projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in site design and a solid understanding of civil engineering principles. They will effectively engage with clients, municipalities, and developers throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop single-family residential and private commercial projects.
• Apply fundamental civil engineering principles to real-world site development challenges.
• Interpret and develop detailed site plans.
• Prepare comprehensive design plans including drainage systems, paving layouts, utility infrastructure, detention facilities, water and sewer systems, and stormwater management plans.
• Utilize MicroStation software for all design and drafting work.
• Serve as a client-facing engineer, participating in meetings, addressing client needs, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project.
• Engage in business development activities, including identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and contributing to proposals and presentations.
• Collaborate closely with city officials and private developers to ensure project compliance, approvals, and successful execution.

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer license preferred or ability to obtain.
• 3+ years of experience in land development design.
• Proficiency in MicroStation preferred; Civil 3D experience acceptable with willingness to learn MicroStation.
• Strong understanding of local and state regulations related to land development.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage client relationships and represent the firm professionally.
• Experience working with municipalities and private developers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
