GEOSPATIAL PRACTICE

DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our National LiDAR and Pavement Services Practice at Michael Baker International.
This role is responsible for driving growth and expansion of our pavement data collection/inspection, pavement management, and transportation infrastructure asset inventory services and solutions, sales tracking, development and execution of a sales capture plan, and industry engagement to achieve the organizations goals for new work added and strategic growth. The primary focus of this role is to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and contribute to our new work added goals. An individual in this role will work closely with National Practice Leads, Regional Practice Leads, proposal development staff, and the various staff in man of Michael Bakers regional offices to identify new business opportunities, pursue RFPs, and lead new business sales efforts to ensure that the organization meets the new work added objectives.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Required: A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, or project management within the GIS/geospatial services, pavement data collection, infrastructure inventory, condition evaluation, or mobile mapping industry. Preferred: 10 years of experience.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, geography, cartography, GIS, business, or a related field is required. However, an associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant technical or sales experience, may be acceptable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Sales & Business Development: Demonstrated experience in business development and successful sales execution.
COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position $104,977.60 - $181,854.40 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
