Architectural Freelancer / Intern Architect

I am a registered Architect seeking support with drawings and calculations for single family and multi-family residential projects in the City of Boca, Palm Beach County, and Miami-Dade County. More specifically, I hope to find a passionate Architectural Designer or a licensed Architect in the State of Florida with experience developing architectural drawings to support me in satisfying the residential building permitting requirements in various jurisdictions here in SW Florida.

Qualifications:
1. Familiarity with the 2024 Florida Building Code
2. Has experience in residential projects
3. Has experience in AutoDesk Revit
4. Is comfortable setting up and developing floor plans, ceiling plans, building sections, interior and exterior elevations, and typical details for wood frame and concrete block (CMU) residential construction projects
5. Familiar with typical bathroom layouts, dimensions, and required clearances
6. Familiar with typical kitchen layouts, dimensions, and required clearances
7. Familiar with standard cabinet sizes
8. Familiar with standard door, and widow sizes as well as what is needed for rough opening in wood and CMU block construction
9. Familiar with masonry dimensions and nominal wood lumber sizes
10. Has experience with basic Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural requirements needed to satisfy residential permitting requirements

- Live and Dead Load Structural Calculation

Candidates who have experience in the items listed above in multiple jurisdictions will be more likely to receive higher compensation, however, all candidates who have experience in these areas are encouraged to apply.
