Position: Project Engineer
Location: Department of General Services (DGS) - Police Services Building, Norwalk, CA
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year plus benefits
About the Project:
$18M Police Services Building. The project includes the construction of a new building to accommodate the DSH Metropolitan Department of Police Services and provide an emergency dispatch center. This building falls under the guidelines of Essential Services. Project includes the demolition of (5) existing buildings. Project also includes roadwork, new traffic signals, paving, and off-site utilities. Project
is being constructed at an operational psychiatric hospital with strict security protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3 years in Construction Management/ General Contractor experience
What Youll Do:
On-site construction administration and support for the Project Manager.
Assist with client communication, weekly meetings, project costs, project schedules, quality assurance (QA), monthly reports, and related tasks.
Responsible for processing GC submittals, RFIs, and other administrative items.
Coordinate field problem solving with the GC and design team.
Interact with clients (DGS/DSH), the design team, and GC to proactively resolve issues and ensure a successful project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction Management In-Training Certification.
