The Commercial Contract Coordinator/Advisor plays a critical role in supporting trading operations by ensuring contract accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This position involves validating trade confirmations, managing contract discrepancies, optimizing contracting processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain seamless operations. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in contract administration and risk assessment to drive improvements, standardization, and automation while facilitating global alignment.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Validate trade confirmations to ensure accuracy and alignment with contractual agreements involving third parties.
- Investigate and resolve contract discrepancies, identifying root causes to prevent recurrence.
- Develop expertise in contract administration processes across all commodities.
- Provide backup support and vacation coverage for team members to ensure operational continuity.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in contracting workflows.
- Support corporate structural realignments, system enhancements, and acquisition-related contract tasks.
- Assist with internal and external audit reviews , ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Develop and track performance metrics , offering insights for continuous improvement.
- Facilitate training, knowledge sharing, and skill development within the tea m.
- Consult with international contracting teams to promote global process standardization and efficiency.
- Gather business requirements, draft, negotiate, and execute contract agreements as required.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and third parties to enhance collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Ability to travel internationally as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with SAP, ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) systems, electronic trade confirmation platforms, and Icertis Contract Intelligence
- 5+ years of contract management experience supporting trading operations
The Commercial organization works to effectively leverage assets and market knowledge to create additional value within the risk parameters of the Company. We do this by maximizing general interest profitability, enhancing return on capital employed by successfully partnering with the Refining, Transportation and Marketing functions to ensure Value Chain Integration. Our truck and rail fleets support our feedstock and distribution operations. Rail movements are provided via a fleet of more than 10,000 owned and leased rail cars. Truck movements are provided through numerous third-party trucking companies, as well as through our 100 percent-owned subsidiary, Sentinel Transportation LLC.
