Residential Electrician

Monday to Friday 7:45am -4:15pm

Duties:

- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.

- Work from ladders, scaffolds, or rooms to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.

- Provide preliminary sketches or cost estimates for materials and services.

- Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures using hand or power tools.

- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.

- Diagnose electrical problems.

- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

- Any other job duties designated by management.

Requirements:

- Journeyman or Wireman license.

- 2 years residential electrical work.

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

- Must have own hand tools.

- Valid Texas Driver license. Will have company vehicle to drive to different job sites.

- Must have clean driving record.

Candidates must pass a drug screen and a background check. Convictions will be reviewed on case-by-case basis; convictions will not necessarily bar a candidate's employment. After an offer or conditional offer of employment is made, the employer may require the prospective employee to take a physical examination.
