Your Opportunity
Stantec's multi-disciplinary office in Atlanta, GA has an opportunity for a senior civil engineer to give leadership to our operations in the Georgia market. We are seeking a candidate with experience in people-leadership, project management, and business development. Market sectors in public and private areas development including streetscapes, parks, and residential, commercial, and industrial development.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule which consists of a minimum of three days in the office each week, and up to two days per week working from home.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage significant projects, coordinating with clients and government agencies, and Stantec's local and regional teams.
- Lead and implement business development strategies for new clients and strategic pursuits.
- Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships and play a key role in client management and satisfaction.
- Mentor and empower junior staff and other team members.
- Plan and manage projects and tasks to complete them on time and within budget.
- Oversee team and project metrics to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining profitability.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience with both private and public sector clients and projects
- Established network of relationships in Georgia central North Carolina is a plus, especially the Raleigh-Durham area.
- Registered Professional Engineer in NC GA or ability to obtain NC GA licensure within 6 months.
- Successful experience in responding to Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Proposals, and Statements of Qualifications.
- Strong leadership, emotional intelligence, team building and communication skills.
- Experience managing junior staff, client relationships, and complex projects.
- Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Civil Engineering
