Construction Project Engineer 5

Location: Boydton, VA

Salary Range: $80/hr to $90

This position involves overseeing construction projects at a datacenter campus, ensuring quality and compliance with design standards. This role requires coordination with various teams to facilitate smooth project execution and successful completion.

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
• 8 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience specific to datacenter electrical engineering.
• Strong experience in DataCenter enviornment
• Strong experience in Electrical Cabling
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, project specifications, and equipment submittals against construction activities to track progress and review potential issues.
• Experience with the design and operation of electrical systems, power distribution systems, backup power systems, electrical power monitoring systems, control diagrams, sequence of operation for the electrical controls systems, overall network architecture, and communication protocols.

• Knowledge of construction techniques and terminology including the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and requirements documents.
• Working knowledge of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
• Excellent leadership competencies and a willingness to collaborate and work cross-functionally to maximize business results and positive customer experiences.

• Serve as the on-site engineering and project management representative throughout construction.
• Perform regular site walks and inspections to ensure progress aligns with design intent.
• Facilitate and maintain a close working relationship with all site personnel.
• Review construction drawings and specifications for technical compliance.
• Support submittal reviews, RFI responses, and commissioning activities.
• Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills to be used at various business levels.
