BIM Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an electrical drafter and engage in 3D modeling using Revit to prepare BIM models for new and existing electrical systems within commercial buildings. This role involves coordinating electrical systems with Architectural, Structural, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems through weekly coordination meetings. Additionally, you will create pre-fabrication drawings for field installation using AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare BIM models for new and existing electrical systems in commercial buildings using Revit.
  • Coordinate electrical systems with Architectural, Structural, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
  • Participate in weekly coordination meetings to ensure system integration.
  • Create pre-fabrication drawings for field installation using AutoCAD.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and drafting.
  • Experience in electrical design and drafting.
  • Strong computer skills, including Navisworks for modeling and construction tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in electrical drafting is a plus.
Work Environment

Join a team working on diverse projects, including hospitals and power plants. You will collaborate closely with one other BIM modeler and the pre-fabrication department. The work environment is dynamic and is part of a larger effort to grow and diversify the BIM department in one of the largest electrical contractors in the state. The company boasts a long-standing history, having celebrated its 75th anniversary, and operates as an ESOP company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
