The company is a well established and trusted name in heavy civil construction. They have reputation of delivering high-quality asphalt paving, excavation, and site development services. They are currently seeking a Construction Manager / Estimator to support and lead project operations.
About the Position
The Construction Manager / Estimator will play a critical role in the planning, pricing, and coordination of site construction and asphalt paving projects across southern Idaho. This individual will work closely with engineers, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure that all project phases are executed with excellenceon time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Develop competitive bids and estimates for new construction projects.
Interpret and manage project specifications from government and private sector clients.
Coordinate and conduct meetings with clients, subcontractors, and project staff.
Monitor job site progress, ensuring high levels of safety, quality, and compliance.
Manage documentation including RFIs, RFPs, submittals, and change orders.
Assist in project scheduling, cost tracking, and budget management.
Travel to job sites and interact with field teams to support on-the-ground execution.
Provide technical support and status reporting to upper management.
Stay current with safety codes, construction best practices, and regulatory updates.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction management or estimating.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized with strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
Detail-oriented and proactive in solving problems.
A degree or certificate in Construction Management is a plus, but not required.
