Key Responsibilities:

**Installation:**

. Install various commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, split

systems, air handlers, ductwork, and associated components according to

blueprints and project plans.

. Accurately measure, cut, and fit ductwork to ensure proper airflow.

. Install refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and controls for HVAC

systems.

. Perform system start-up and testing to verify proper functionality.

**Apprentice Training:**

. Guide and train HVAC apprentices in all aspects of commercial HVAC

installation, including safety procedures, proper tool usage, and code

compliance.

. Assign tasks appropriate for the apprentice\'s skill level and provide

ongoing feedback.

**Technical Skills:**

. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical

schematics

. Knowledge of HVAC codes and regulations

. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, including cutting

tools, measuring devices, and refrigerant gauges

. Understanding of different types of commercial HVAC systems (e.g.,

VRF, chilled water, rooftop units)

**Communication and Teamwork:**

. Collaborate with other trades on the construction site to coordinate

installation schedules and ensure proper integration with other building

systems

. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other team

members regarding project status and potential issues

Required Qualifications:

**Journeyman:**

. Valid HVAC Journeyman license or equivalent certification

. Significant experience in commercial HVAC installation and maintenance

. Proven ability to lead and mentor apprentices

**Apprentice:**

. Basic understanding of HVAC principles

. Willingness to learn and develop skills under the guidance of a

journeyman

. Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
