Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Engineering Technician needed for immediate temporary position in the Durham, NC area for 2+ months! This is a great opportunity for an Engineering person on break to work in a technical automation environment for the summer!

The right person for this role will have a solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret drawings produced in AutoCAD Inventor or Solidworks.

Responsibilities will include the gathering of data and measurements of custom parts for automation equipment used in the robotics industry and preparation for final equipment integration. This person must have hands-on experience performing detailed part assembly and the ability to document finding using MS Office suite tools.

responsibilities:

• Interpret CAD Designs of custom tools and automated equipment by gathering measurement data
  
  
• Fit to size, build and assemble grip assembly
  
  
• Document findings and take meeting notes using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel etc.
  
  
• Support other administrative project tasks

Qualifications

• Technical Education with proven exposure to CAD / AutoCAD Inventor or Solidworks having ability to read and interpret such as taking part measurements
  
  
• Must have Independent working style with a high sense of detail and responsibility
  
  
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  
  
• Must possess proven mechanical experience and ability to be hands on with engineering curiosity
  
  
• Exp with MS Office for documentation and work instruction
