We are currently seeking a GCP Architect to join our team in Parsippany, NJ. Please note that this is an on-site based role in Parsippany, NJ

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced GCP Architect to design, implement, and optimize cloud app solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices. This is a modernization project where legacy apps and databases will be moved to GCP. Please also note that this will be an on-site role (3 days/week) in Parsippany, NJ.

Focus will be rearchitecting legacy apps to GCP architecture and data migration from onsite database to GCP database. The ideal candidate will have app development/data migration background and related deep expertise in GCP i.e. pub sub, cloud function, storage, ETLs etc. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and management of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture & Design: Be able to do overall design and solution of project using GCP services such as Pub Sub, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, scalable microservices in GCP.
Be able to do POCs as needed which app teams can follow.
Strong experience with data migration projects/ETLs, large scale DBs.
Collaboration & Consultation: Work with development team and be able to guide them on project architecture
Performance Optimization: Monitor cloud workloads, optimize resource usage, and recommend improvements for cost efficiency and performance.
Migration & Modernization: Lead cloud migration initiatives, including rehosting, refactoring, and re-platforming legacy applications.
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for cloud-related issues.

Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a GCP Architect or similar role in cloud computing.
Strong expertise in GCP services, networking, security, and best practices.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of security, compliance, and identity management in the cloud.
Familiarity with cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Google Cloud Certified Professional Architect or equivalent certification.
Experience with data migration projects
Experience with legacy modernization projects.
