We are currently seeking a “ Construction Inspector " for a contract role with one of our clients in Toronto, ON .
Duration: 6 Months.
Required Qualifications:
• Completion of a degree in applied science, engineering, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
• Experience related to the planning, inspection, design and construction of transit facilities, public facing, and station infrastructure and related works, interpreting and applying contract plans and specifications and co-ordinating contracted engineering projects
• Demonstrates project management experience related to the planning, design, and construction of transit facilities, station infrastructure and related works.
• Familiar with provincial standards including MOE guidelines, OHSA, OPSS, OPSD, MTO Book 7
• Proficient in Client Office Suite
• A valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required to travel to various site locations. Must meet and maintain the corporate standard for a good driving record
• PMP (Project Management Professional) is an asset
• Understands theories, principles and practices of civil and architectural design and construction, skill and proficiency in broad phases of engineering application
• Knowledge of Contract Law and standard contract forms (CCDC 2 and CCDC 4), the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Environmental Assessment Act, and the requirements of the Professional Engineers Act
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Thorough understanding of Railway Rules and Regulations and Safety & Operating procedures.
