Project Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Coordinator to support our construction projects with one of our clients in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project sites, ensuring adherence to schedules, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge of the projects being supported.
• Visit project sites
• Review RFIs (Requests for Information) from constructors.
• Meet with constructors to evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
• Ensure adherence to the project schedule and identify any delays.
• Review and implement recovery plans to get projects back on schedule.
• Ensure constructors maintain high standards and do not cut corners.
• Understand and follow construction procedures and protocols.
• Review invoicing versus work completed and process approvals for payment.
• Participate in safety reviews and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

• 5+ years of experience in project coordination and construction management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of construction protocols and procedures.
• Ability to review and respond to RFIs.
• Experience with MS Project and Google Docs.

• Health and Safety certifications are a plus.
• Comfortable working in a construction site environment.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
