About the Role:

As a Painter in the Durable Goods Manufacturing industry, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic and protective qualities of various products. Your primary responsibility will be to apply paint and finishes to manufactured goods, ensuring a high-quality appearance and durability. You will work closely with other team members to prepare surfaces, select appropriate materials, and execute painting techniques that meet industry standards. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety will be essential as you navigate the complexities of different materials and finishes. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the overall quality and marketability of our products, making a significant impact on customer satisfaction and brand reputation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in painting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in painting or related field.
  • Experience with fiberglass and MIG welding.
  • Knowledge of carpentry and drywall installation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
  • Select and mix paints and finishes according to specifications and project requirements.
  • Utilize various painting techniques, including spray painting and brush application, to achieve desired results.
  • Maintain and operate painting equipment, including spray guns and table saws, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to quality standards.

Skills:

The required skills of painting and manual dexterity will be utilized daily as you prepare surfaces and apply finishes with precision. Your ability to work with tools such as table saws and spray painting equipment will be essential for executing high-quality work efficiently. Depth perception is critical when assessing the application of paint and ensuring even coverage across various surfaces. Additionally, familiarity with fiberglass and MIG welding will enhance your versatility in handling different materials and projects. Overall, your skill set will enable you to contribute effectively to the production process and uphold the standards of our manufacturing operations.
