Your strategic role will involve:Technical Contribution: Support the design and analysis of infrastructure projects, applying engineering principles to develop practical and sustainable solutions.Project Support: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.Skill Development: Learn from experienced engineers and participate in training opportunities to build expertise in areas such as sustainable design, resilience, and innovative engineering practices.Client Interaction: Participate in meetings and help prepare materials that communicate technical concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.Proposal Support: Contribute to the preparation of technical content for proposals and presentations, gaining exposure to the business development process.Quality Focus: Help review and refine project deliverables, ensuring accuracy and consistency in drawings, reports, and calculations.Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with professionals from various disciplines-such as transportation, environmental, and structural engineering-to develop integrated project solutions.Innovation & Technology: Stay informed about emerging tools and technologies in civil engineering and contribute ideas to improve project outcomes.Sustainability Integration: Support the incorporation of sustainable practices into project designs, aligning with our commitment to environmentally responsible engineering.Advisory Exposure: Gain insight into how engineering expertise informs broader planning and policy decisions by supporting senior staff in research and analysis for advisory work.Your skills and experienceEducational Background: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited program.Professional Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering design or construction.Technical Skills: Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS. Willingness to learn and adopt new tools and technologies.Foundational Knowledge: Understanding of core civil engineering concepts, including grading, utility design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.Professional Development: Eagerness to grow professionally through mentorship, training, and pursuit of licensure (e.g., working toward PE certification).Problem Solving: Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning and contributing to project success.
