Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator with a strong background in civil construction, specifically in utility and earthwork projects. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience, with proven proficiency in takeoff software and Bid2Win.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects, including utilities and earthwork.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid packages.
  • Utilize takeoff software and Bid2Win to develop detailed estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of utility and earthwork scopes.
  • Proficiency with takeoff software, including ground rules.
  • Experience with Bid2Win is required.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Highly organized and able to multitask.
  • Experience with project management requirements such as submittals, RFIs, schedules, shop drawing requests, change orders, correspondence, and project closeout.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in document sharing programs like Dropbox.
Work Environment

The company has a team of about 26 people, including one other Estimator. They have a tight-knit company culture, often engaging in social activities outside of work. It is a veteran-owned and operated business. The position requires working in the office 5 days a week, with expected work hours ranging from 50-60 hours per week. The culture emphasizes respect and equality, with high expectations set for all team members. Employees receive a company credit card and gas card, full benefits, and a progressive PTO structure after the first year. Holiday pay is provided for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
