As a Senior Engineer specializing in product development within the rubber manufacturing industry, the candidate will lead the conception, design, and development of innovative rubber products. The candidate will be instrumental in enhancing existing products and introducing new solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards, market demands, and manufacturing feasibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Lead the design and development of new rubber products or modifications to existing ones, from conceptualization to prototype and final production stages.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select appropriate rubber materials, conduct thorough material testing, and evaluate their suitability for specific product applications.
+ Oversee the creation of prototypes, coordinate testing procedures, analyze test data, and iterate designs to achieve optimal product performance and durability.
+ Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure product designs are optimized for efficient and cost-effective production processes.
+ Develop and implement quality control procedures, standards, and testing protocols to maintain high product quality and reliability.
+ Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
+ Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in rubber manufacturing to drive continuous innovation and improvement.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field. Additional certifications in product development or rubber technology are advantageous.
5+ years of experience in product development within the manufacturing industry, demonstrating progressive responsibility and successful project leadership.
