Job DescriptionAdesta, an Allied Universal Company, is hiring a CAD (Computer Aided Design) Technician II. CAD Technician II will utilize Computer Aided Design software and hardware to provide support for sales designs, projects, update current jobs and projects, and create production in both electronic and hardcopy forms. The technician will produce drawings from project documents, functional markups, conceptual sketches, or verbal descriptions and specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop plans, drawings, and standards for fiber optics networks installation.
- Update as-built / record drawings for fiber optics network installations.
- Design plans including site layouts, horizontal and vertical layouts, site utilities (including conflicts) and fiber optic splice diagrams.
- Coordinate work activities to balance and maintain schedules.
- Perform work with ESRI ArcGIS, 3GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 2D and 3D software.
- Manage and maintain drawing database.
- Know engineering principles for drawings.
- Support others including CADD operators.
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in drafting
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint)
- Strong experience in applications such as AutoCAD, ESRI ArcGIS, 3GIS, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Contribute and work well with others
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence others
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
- Associate's degree in CADD or Engineering Technology
