Sierra7, Inc. is seeking a Lead Portfolio Architect to join the Enterprise Architecture Support Program in support of the Veterans Administration.

Position Responsibilities:
Proactive collaboration, communication, and interfacing with project stakeholders, including end users, business, VA organizations, vendors, and service partners
Engage stakeholders across disciplines towards a goal of end-to-end line of sight across design, budgeting, and implementation.
Develop strategies and plans to enhance the current tool ecosystem
Design and develop IT architectures
Create architecture diagrams and related documentation
Engage with the team to build a world-class community of practice to support customers and for continuous improvement by enhancing the EA knowledge base of standards, innovation, evolving risks, and best practices
Support developing and determining requirements for utilizing data (structured, unstructured, semi-structured, authoritative data source)
Support the creation of architectures and review with segment and strategies to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and priorities
Implement Fit-for-Purpose mature architectures at multiple levels
Deliver project requirements on time, within budget, with quality results that meet or exceed customer expectations
Develop detailed schedules, estimates, and resource plans to implement solutions.
Produce and deliver detailed status reports and briefings, along with periodic demonstrations of developed capability, to document and demonstrate project progress
Proactively manage scope, actions, issues and risks to ensure project success.
Follow change control procedures effectively
Coordinate and monitor timely and effective completion of actions
Coordinate development and reviews of high-quality project deliverables using appropriate templates
Be cost conscience as well addressing goals

Demonstrated work experience success
Strong leadership skills and management experience
Experience in designing and developing an IT architecture, creating diagrams and documentation with all components that comprise systems including network topology
Experienced in introducing new hardware or software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks
Enterprise architecture experience
Experience developing strategies and plans to enhance available hardware and software tools
Experience in design and development of IT architecture
Experience in creating diagrams and documentation with all components that comprise systems including network topology.
DevSecOps experience working within a COTs environment
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience a plus
Familiarity with cloud technologies
Familiarity with NIST and FedRAMP
Experience working within a Human Centered design a plus
Familiarity with supporting an authority to operate review and documentation development
Experience identifying, mitigating and managing project risks and issues
Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
Strong oral and written communication skills

Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or equivalent (8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education)
10 years of relevant experience
ITIL certification a plus
Experience working in VA [desired]
The ability to obtain a government clearance [required]
