Your Role

Operations Manager I - Hebron, KY

Work Schedule : Monday to Friday

As Operations Manager I with us, you’ll manage overall operations for the effective and profitable management of production team members, quality, safety and ultimately customer satisfaction. Enhance business processes and continuously improve operational efficiency to meet output goals and operate profitably. You’ll also carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws

What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Functions

  • Manage cross functional teams including customer service, quality, production, services, safety, and inventory
  • Make personnel decisions regarding hiring, compensation, promotions, performance management of operational support staff in accordance with company guidelines
  • Execute and maintain key performance indicators (KPI’s) set by Regional Manager to measure plant capacity, utilization, and success in providing products and services to our customer
  • Manage the day-to-day throughput of the factory. Set and communicate production expectations, communicate performance vs expectations. Hold team accountable to committed production dates
  • Consistent practices in compliance with TransPak Policies and Procedures
  • Collaborates with Regional Manager on development and implementation of division’s continuous improvement

What We’d Like to See from You

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, manufacturing, business or related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience in operations roles
  • Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma tools and concepts and business process management
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems
  • Demonstrated success managing a manufacturing plant and budget
  • Strong project management skills
  • Personal attributes of positive communicator and people manager, initiative, continuous improvement mindset and efficiency-focus
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
